The SABRE Award for its PR Activities and the Webby Award for its microsite

LG Electronics (LG), a worldwide technology leader in mobile communications sector, announced today that LG Chocolate phone, the first handset within the Black Label Series has once again achieved outstanding results in global awards, the SABRE Award and the Webby Award 2007 for its integrated global marketing activities.

LG Chocolate phone has won the SABRE Award recognizing superior achievement in branding and reputation with a particular emphasis on effectiveness with its PR activities in consumer tech area on May 24th, 2007. The Webby award, leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet in telecommunication sector was presented to LG for its successful Microsite (http://chocolate.lgmobile.com/uk/en/product/blacklabel.html) on May 2nd, 2007.

One of the defining reasons for LG Chocolate phone project to collect the SABRE Award was through LG’s successful Public Relations program, which boosted sales by intimately connecting with consumers to satisfy their needs. As a result, LG Chocolate phone displayed favorable sales achievement in the global market.

The Webby Award selected LG Chocolate phone as a winner for its website designed to represent the design feature of the handset. The website also played a key role increasing awareness and credibility of both the phone and LG brand by offering a variety of opportunities where consumers could get a sense of the real product.
